About Micro Loop Hair Extensions
Micro loop extensions are installed strand by strand using small micro rings (beads). Unlike pre-bonded tips, there is no keratin or plastic tip on the hair — the natural hair and the extension hair are threaded through the same ring, and the ring is clamped closed with pliers.
The extension hair used is typically loose or weft hair that is cut into small strands on site, rather than factory-tipped individual strands. This is the practical difference between micro loop and I-tip: I-tip arrives pre-tipped; micro loop is built from loose/weft hair during installation.
