About U-Tip Hair Extensions
U-tip extensions are individual strands of human hair that come pre-tipped with a U-shaped keratin bond at the top. During installation the bond is heated until it softens, then wrapped and rolled around a small section of the client's natural hair. Once it cools and hardens, it forms a sealed, rounded connection point.
The round shape is the defining feature — and also the main trade-off. A round bond holds very securely and moves naturally in any direction, but it creates a slight bump at the root. That bump is more noticeable in fine hair and less noticeable in thick hair.
